Saw this on an office white board the other day: “No institution will go through fundamental change unless it believes it is in deep trouble and needs to do something different to survive.”—Thomas Friedman.
One of the good things to come out of the recent financial downturn (I try to avoid that “R” word) is that charities and ministries will consider long overdue strategic changes. If those 4th Quarter income numbers were scarier than anyone expected, now’s the time for real change.
So what are you waiting for? Take the risk. Champion that great idea you’ve had that no one would listen to.
